Our Vineyards

Delegat's Wine Estate is a focused winemaker, concentrating its energies and skills on producing classical wines that are most recognised and suited to a region's viticulture. Our vineyard plantings are in New Zealand’s premier wine growing regions, Hawkes Bay and Marlborough.

Sunny Hawkes Bay, with its superb mix of microclimates and varying soils, is perfect for growing merlot, cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay.

The shallow stony soils over deep layers of free draining river shingle at our Marlborough vineyards in the central Wairau Valley create the ideal conditions for growing sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and pinot noir.
